Home / Self-showing

On demand

Showings on the applicant's schedule.

A vacant unit loses money every day it sits empty, and the usual reason is scheduling. Chalet built self-showing so a prospective tenant can see a property the same day they ask about it — without an agent driving across town.

The model

Request a viewing, not an appointment.

The applicant picks a time. The platform identifies a vetted host near the property, dispatches them, and releases access for the window. The host walks the applicant through the home, answers what they can, and the visit is logged against the property record.

It is the same on-demand logic ride-sharing applied to transport: flexible workers, matched geographically, paid for the task rather than the shift.

  • Same-day and next-day viewings, including evenings and weekends
  • No agent has to be scheduled days in advance
  • Hosts are trained and vetted before they hold a key
  • Every entry and exit is recorded against the unit

For owners

Faster fills, and a record of who came in.

Shorter vacancy

A unit that can be seen the same day is a unit that gets an application while interest is high.

Controlled access

Access is released per showing window and withdrawn after it. Nobody holds a key indefinitely.

An audit trail

Who entered, when, with which applicant, and what they reported about the property afterwards.

Safety

How hosts and applicants are protected.

Letting strangers into a property on demand only works if the controls are real. The rules below apply to every showing.

ControlWhat it means
Host vettingIdentity verification and background screening before a host is approved.
TrainingHosts are briefed on what they may say about a property, what they may not, and fair housing rules that apply to every showing.
Applicant identityRequests are tied to a contactable identity, not an anonymous booking.
Timed accessAccess is valid only for the scheduled window and is withdrawn afterwards.
LoggingEntry, exit and duration recorded per showing, per unit.
EscalationHosts have a direct line to our team during a showing, and the ability to end one.

For hosts

Work when you want, near where you are.

Hosts accept showings that fit their day. It suits people who want flexible work around study, another job, or family commitments.

  • Accept or decline showings individually
  • Paid per showing completed
  • Properties matched to your location
  • Training provided before your first visit

Ask about hosting

For applicants

See it while you are still interested.

Request a time that works, get confirmation, and meet a host at the property. No application needed before a viewing, and no pressure to decide on the doorstep.

  • Request a viewing without an agent
  • Evenings and weekends included
  • Confirmation with the host and the time
  • Apply afterwards through the resident portal
