Manual operations
Showing schedules, key handovers, vendor dispatch and follow-up tracked by hand — and dropped when someone is busy.
Chalet Labs runs traditional property management on a platform we built ourselves — replacing the spreadsheets, phone calls and paper trails with web and mobile tools for owners and residents, and full-service management on the ground in Sacramento.
The problem
Most of the work is coordination: a resident reports something, a vendor is called, an invoice arrives, a statement is assembled at year end. None of it is hard, and all of it is slow when the record lives in three places at once.
Showing schedules, key handovers, vendor dispatch and follow-up tracked by hand — and dropped when someone is busy.
Owners waiting weeks for a statement that should be a live number, with no way to see what is outstanding today.
Maintenance history living in a filing cabinet, so the same repair is discovered again by the next tenant.
What we built
Chalet Labs built its own web and mobile platform rather than assembling one out of third-party tools. Owners and residents use the same system, which means the record is written once and both sides see the same version of it.
Self-showing
Finding a rental in Sacramento means calling an office and waiting for a slot. We built the opposite: a prospective tenant requests a showing, a vetted host nearby is dispatched, and the property is opened the same day.
The applicant picks a time that suits them. The system finds a host, not a calendar slot three days out.
Trained, vetted hosts work on demand — an Uber-style model applied to property viewings rather than rides.
Every entry and exit is logged against the property, so the owner knows exactly who was inside and when.
Services
The platform is only half of it. We are a full-service property management company, and the work on the ground is done by people we supervise.
